Nusa Penida
Located on the Wallace line, Nusa Penida is a small island between Bali and Lombok. It is also the meeting point of the North Sea and the Bali sea, bringing rich nutrients which provides a great habitat for the marine life. The nature of this environment can create lots of currents so it is more recommended for experienced divers, but it’s also possible for beginners. The day trip starts with a two hours’ car ride to Padang Bai, where we will take a fast boat that will bring us to the west coast of Nusa Penida, a white sand paradise.
We do a first dive on the Manta point, where you can see the magnificent Manta Rays. Then, for the second dive, we go to Crystal Bay. If lucky, you may see the famous Mola Mola, or Sunfish. There is a possibility to do a third dive off the east coast. There is a huge cliff with a very powerful ocean, so this third dive is a drift dive. Nusa Penida is famous for the incredible Manta Rays, but also for the beauty of the reef, with its palegic fish and white and black tip reef sharks.
