Batu Belah – Coral Garden

This is one of the most beautiful reefs off the coast of Bali and it is renowned for having the highest amount of fish. It remains a favourite site of the Fab Dive Center. An easy dive with depths between 10-30 meters, it’s open to all levels of divers because the current remains mild. You can enter the dive site from the sandy and rocky beach and after a few meters of rock you can see where the coral reef begins. The nutrient rich waters of the Lombok strait and cooled off lava gives this site vibrancy in its sponges, corals, and numerous marine life that live in it. There are many schooling fish in this area such as snappers, batfish and fusiliers, and if lucky, you can also see tuna that often patrol for prey. Another good site for macro and muck divers, here you can admire the many nudibranch, lobsters, crabs and mantis shrimp amongst the anemones which can be found on the reef. If you are lucky, you can find giant frog fish and leaf scorpion fish as well.
